SafeSeas will continue to strengthen it’s partnership with the Department of Political Science (DPS) of the University of Copenhagen through a new research project funded by the Velux Foundation’s Core Group program. The project is a collaboration between DPS, the Helmholtz Institute for Functional Marine Biodiversity and SafeSeas will investigate three key issues in ocean governance: Chokepoints and routes, subsea data cables and the prevention of marine oil spills. Christian Bueger will lead the project together with Kimberly Peters.
